▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - The method (100) involves suspending a graphene membrane using a circular mechanical clamp (101). Current is provided (102) to the graphene membrane to establish source-drain bias voltage along the graphene membrane, where the graphene membrane comprises ten layers of carbon atoms. The graphene membrane is encapsulated using dielectric material, where the graphene membrane is prepared by one of mechanical exfoliation and chemical vapor deposition, and the source-drain bias voltage is from about 1 Volt to about 4 Volt. USE - Method for generating light emission from electrically biased graphene for electrodes and optoelectronic applications. ADVANTAGE - The method enables using the circular or elliptical mechanical clamp to provide geometry that increases mechanical stability of graphene by enforcing structural rigidity onto the graphene membrane so as to provide decreased heat dissipation and efficient conversion of electrical energy to light radiation. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a flow diagram illustrating a method for generating light emission from graphene.
