NOVELTY - A porous ion-conducting membrane is prepared from a charged organic polymer resin having a positive or negative charge, or a porous ion-conducting membrane substrate having no charged organic polymer resin, utilizing negative charged or positive charged organic polymer resin as a raw material and mixing to prepare a porous ion conductive membrane matrix, self-assembling graphene or graphene oxide on the surface of the matrix, where the matrix porosity is 40-80%. USE - Porous ion-conducting membrane for a flow battery, such as all-vanadium flow battery, a zinc/bromine flow battery, sodium polysulfide/ bromine flow battery, iron/chromium flow battery, or vanadium/bromine flow battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The membrane has high proton conductivity, good ion selectivity, and high energy efficiency, and can be prepared in simple, easy and cost effective manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing porous ion-conducting membrane.
