NOVELTY - The apparatus (1) has a block portion (11) into which an optical fiber (15) is inserted. A light detection unit (12) is arranged on one side of the optical fiber and integrally formed with optical fiber. The optical fiber has a high refractive index region which is coated with a material having a higher than the coating region. A coating removal region is provided in which a portion of the coating area is removed. The light absorbing region (122) is formed of perovskite, graphene, carbon nanotube, or semiconductor that absorbs infrared light. A measuring unit is configured to measure the intensity of the current in order to predict the output of the laser. USE - Apparatus for measuring light output of high-power fiber laser. ADVANTAGE - The optical power measuring device comprises an optical fiber that is provided with a core, clad and coating, and hence reduces the deformation due to mechanical impact.
