NOVELTY - Organic electrode material i.e. 2,2'-(diazene-1,2-diyl)dipyrene-4,5,9,10-tetraone compound (I) is new. USE - The organic electrode material is useful in anode and flexible anode for battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The organic electrode material: has significantly improved discharge capacity and significantly improved cycle performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Organic electrode material i.e. 2,2'-(diazene-1,2-diyl)dipyrene-4,5,9,10-tetraone compound of formula (I) is new. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: preparation of (I); anode, comprising a current collector and a anode layer attached to the current collector, where the anode layer comprises the organic electrode material, preferably the electrode layer includes 2-4 pts. wt. organic electrode material, 5-7 pts. wt. conductive agent and 0.5-1.5 pts. wt. binder; flexible anode, comprising the organic electrode material, and also includes carbon-based material, preferably the mass ratio of organic electrode material to carbon-based material is 1:1-3, more preferably 1:2-3; preparing flexible anode comprising dispersing organic electrode material and the carbon-based material in a solvent to obtain dispersion liquid, suction-filtering the dispersion liquid and drying to obtain flexible anode with a flexible self-supporting film; and battery, comprising the anode or the flexible anode.
