NOVELTY - Preparing formaldehyde-removing active carbon comprises (i) dispersing activated carbon, graphene, and surface additives in solvent to form mixed solution, where mass ratio between activated carbon and graphene is 10-10000:1; mass ratio between activated carbon and surface additive is 10-10,000:1; graphene concentration is 0.1-10 g/l; surface additive concentration is 0.1-10 g/l, (ii) treating mixed solution by hydrothermal method, and then filtering hydrothermal reaction product, vacuum heat-treating filtered product at 500-1000 degrees C for 30 minutes to 24 hours to obtain final product, where hydrothermal treatment is: stirring mixed solution at 20-100 degrees C for 30 minutes to 3 hours, and the stirring rate is 50-1000 revolutions/minute. USE - The method is useful for preparing formaldehyde-removing active carbon. ADVANTAGE - The method has simple operation, and the obtained product has excellent formaldehyde removal efficiency, and formaldehyde removal rate can reach above 95% at 60 minutes.
