NOVELTY - 2,2'-Bipyridine-containing metallic complexes (I), are new. USE - (I) are useful in graphene-metal complex composite for electronic device, preferably field-effect transistor as channel layer, light detecting device, capacitor, battery, solar cell and light-emitting diode (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - (I) provide improved mobility and prolonged lifetime to the electronic device. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - 2,2'-Bipyridine-containing metallic complexes of formula (I), are new. M = transition metal; Ar1 = 10-30C polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon R1, R2 = H or 1-6C alkyl; and R3 = 1-10C alkylene. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for graphene-metal complex composite comprising graphene and (I) disposed on the graphene.
