NOVELTY - Bismuth tin oxide (Bi2Sn2O7)/graphene composite visible light catalyst comprises 85.0 mass% Bi2Sn2O7 and 15.0 mass% graphene. USE - Bi2Sn2O7/graphene composite visible light catalyst used for solar energy photocatalytic decomposition of organic pollutant. ADVANTAGE - The Bi2Sn2O7/graphene composite visible light catalyst has environment-friendly preparation with simple technique and high visible light catalytic activity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of Bi2Sn2O7/graphene composite visible light catalyst comprising adding 1.213 g bismuth nitrate pentahydrate (Bi(NO3)3.5H2O) and 0.876 g tin chloride pentahydrate (SnCl4.5H2O) into 45 ml deionized water, stirring to completely dissolve, adding 2 mol/L potassium hydroxide solution, regulating pH at 12 to obtain solution A, ultrasonically dispersing 0.170 g graphite oxide into 10 ml anhydrous ethanol to obtain graphene oxide solution suspension, slowly dripping graphene oxide solution suspension into solution A, continuously stirring for 1 hour, transferring the mixture into reaction kettle with PTFE liner, crystallizing at 180-200 degrees C for 24 hours, obtaining solid product, filtering, washing and drying to obtain Bi2Sn2O7/graphene composite visible light catalyst having graphene content of 15.0%.
