NOVELTY - Graphene and micrometric graphite particles manufacturing involves mixing 300 meshes micron-sized graphite, deionized water, 1-10 wt.% water-soluble associative polymer solution and 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol with stirring uniformly. The resulting mixture is poured into a glass or stainless steel vessel and then subjected to a baffle with ultrasound. The ultrasonic bath has a capacity of 22.5 liters. USE - Method for manufacturing graphene and micrometric graphite particles used in reinforcing material, pigment industry, paints, lubricants, polymer processing and alteration. ADVANTAGE - The method manufactures the graphene and micrometric graphite particles in a simple and cost-effective manner with improved mechanical properties and electrostatic discharge to the materials. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Graphene and micrometric graphite particles manufacturing involves mixing 300 meshes micron-sized graphite, deionized water, 1-10 wt.% water-soluble associative polymer solution and 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol with stirring uniformly. The resulting mixture is poured into a glass or stainless steel vessel and then subjected to a baffle with ultrasound. The ultrasonic bath has a capacity of 22.5 liters. The ultrasound frequencies is different from 20-35 kilohertz with amplitudes of 100-400 Volts. The obtained mixture of particles of nanographite and graphene heated at 50-200 degrees C for evaporating water for 1-6 hours. The obtained solids are milled to give the impalpable powder. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing composite materials, which involves: (A) preparing mixture with the pulverized solid materials, thermoplastic polymer granules and additives; and (B) processing the prepared mixture through conventional extrusion and polymer injection methods. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a graphical representation depicting Raman spectroscopy two dimensional peak at different concentrations of associative polymer from the sample of graphite.
