NOVELTY - The preparation of nano copper oxide/graphene oxide/bismuth vanadate heterogeneous heterojunction photocatalyst, involves (1) taking dispersion liquid (A) comprising graphene oxide, dispersant and solvent, where the solvent includes mixture of ethanol and water, (2) dissolving bismuth nitrate in dilute nitric acid to form bismuth nitrate solution, and dripping bismuth nitrate solution to dispersion liquid (A), after dripping is completed, mixing evenly, and heating mixed solution, dripping ammonia solution of ammonium metavanadate, ultrasonically reacting, and adjusting pH of mixed solution to 4-7, cooling mixed solution to room temperature, filtering, washing and drying to obtain product (B), (3) adding product (B) to water, adding soluble copper salt, after soluble copper salt is completely dissolved, dripping strengthening alkali solution and mixing evenly, and heating to obtain solution (C), and (4) quenching solution (C), filtering, washing, drying, calcining, and cooling. USE - Preparation of nano copper oxide/graphene oxide/bismuth vanadate heterogeneous heterojunction photocatalyst used for treating dye-containing wastewater with rhodamine B (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables of preparation of nano copper oxide/graphene oxide/bismuth vanadate heterogeneous heterojunction photocatalyst ensuring excellent photocatalytic activity and increased absorption of UV light and visible light, by simple process, and ensures excellent industrial application prospects. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation of nano copper oxide/graphene oxide/bismuth vanadate heterogeneous heterojunction photocatalyst, involves (1) taking dispersion liquid (A) comprising graphene oxide, dispersant and solvent, where the solvent includes mixture of ethanol and water, (2) dissolving bismuth nitrate in dilute nitric acid to form bismuth nitrate solution, and dripping bismuth nitrate solution to dispersion liquid (A), after dripping is completed, mixing evenly, and heating the mixed solution at 90-110degrees Celsius, dripping ammonia solution of ammonium metavanadate, ultrasonically reacting for 18-24 hours after addition is complete, and adjusting the pH of mixed solution to 4-7, after the reaction is complete, quickly cooling the mixed solution to room temperature, filtering, washing and drying to obtain product (B), (3) adding product (B) to water, adding soluble copper salt, after soluble copper salt is completely dissolved, dripping strengthening alkali solution and mixing evenly, and heating at 80-100degreesC to obtain solution (C), (4) quenching solution (C), filtering, washing, drying, calcining the obtained powder at 150-180degreesC, and cooling to room temperature. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method for treating dye-containing wastewater, which involves adding nano copper oxide/graphene oxide/bismuth vanadate heterogeneous photocatalyst to dye-containing wastewater, so that dye in the wastewater is degraded by photocatalysis, under the condition of sunlight or visible light source, where the dye includes rhodamine B.
