NOVELTY - Preparation of silicon carbide ceramic material, involves dissolving sodium alginate in ethanol solution to prepare sodium alginate solution, adding silicon carbide, grinding, adding coupling agent, filtering and drying, uniformly mixing bismuth oxide coated nano-graphene with carbon black, nano-alumina and silicon carbide, pressing, sintering to obtain sintered blank, maintaining the sintered blanks in a nitrogen atmosphere at 1350-1450 degrees C and 2.5-4.5 MPa for 1.5-2.5 hours to obtain final product. USE - Method for preparing silicon carbide ceramic material. ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of silicon carbide ceramic material with improved hardness, excellent wear resistance, low bulk density, uniform ceramic grain size distribution, low ceramic porosity, low aperture and improved internal microstructure of ceramic materials. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for preparing silicon carbide ceramic material, involves (1) dissolving sodium alginate in ethanol solution to prepare 10 %mass sodium alginate solution, adding silicon carbide to sodium alginate solution, grinding for 1.5-2 hours, transferring to vacuum reactor, adding 3.5-3.8 wt.% coupling agent, processing for 40-50 minutes, then filtering and drying, (2) uniformly mixing bismuth oxide coated nano-graphene with carbon black, nano-alumina and silicon carbide in a mass ratio of 3-5:1-3:0.3-0.5:50-60, pressing to form green blank, sintering at 600-650 degrees C for 30-40 minutes to obtain sintered blank, (3) maintaining the sintered blanks in a nitrogen atmosphere at 1350-1450 degrees C and 2.5-4.5 MPa for 1.5-2.5 hours to obtain silicon carbide ceramic material.
