NOVELTY - A power storage device comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode (10), and an electrolyte. The negative electrode comprises a current collector (11), an active material layer (13) comprising a particle, film (103) comprising an inner surface on a region of the particle (p1), a film (102) covering the particle and the film (103), and graphene. The film (103) comprises metal oxide, and the film (102) comprises an organic material and an inorganic material, in contact with a region of the particle and an outer surface of the film (103). The graphene partially surrounds the particle. USE - Power storage device e.g. lithium ion battery, lithium ion capacitor, and air cells. Uses include but are not limited to LED, LCD, computers, tabletop lighting device, digital micromirror device and field emission display, microwave oven, electric rice cooker, and electric refrigerator-freezer. ADVANTAGE - The power storage device has a negative electrode active material with a stable surface which effectively minimizes electrochemical decomposition of electrolyte solution, prevents reduction in capacity, has long-term cycle performance, has high operating voltage, has reduced size compared to existing power storage devices, and enables vehicles to improve fuel efficiency.
