NOVELTY - The method involves measuring the resistance between the first pair of contacts to determine a temperature of the graphene Hall effect sensor. The graphene Hall effect sensor is exposed to a magnetic field and the output voltage is measured from the second pair of contacts. The graphene Hall effect sensor temperature and the output voltage are used to determine the magnetic field. USE - Method for determining magnetic field with graphene Hall effect sensor for use in hall effect measurement system (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The improved or commercially useful alternative method for determining a magnetic field and an improved Hall sensor can be implemented. The graphene temperature is accurately determined based on a resistivity measurement of the graphene. The graphene Hall effect sensor can use the temperature information to improve the accuracy of the determined magnetic field. Since the graphene Hall effect sensor is used to perform the temperature measurement, the measured temperature can reflect the temperature of the graphene Hall effect sensor and not the temperature of a location near the graphene Hall effect sensor thus the potential errors in temperature measurement due to local temperature variations around the graphene Hall effect sensor can be reduced or eliminated compared to devices using separate temperature sensors. The accurate measurement of the temperature measurement of the graphene Hall effect sensor is achieved. The graphene Hall effect sensor can be used to make highly accurate measurements of a magnetic field over a wide temperature range by providing an accurate measurement of the temperature of the graphene Hall effect sensor. The method for determining a magnetic field is particularly well suited for applications at low temperatures such that the accurate determination of the temperature of the Hall effect sensor allows the determination to be made with the desired accuracy.
