NOVELTY - Preparation of tungsten diselenide composite catalyst comprises weighing selenium powder, adding into dimethylformamide solution, stirring under nitrogen atmosphere, adding sodium borohydride, heating to 60-80 degrees C and reacting for 3-4 hours to obtain solution A; weighing ammonium metatungstate, dissolving in deionized water, adding graphitic carbon nitride or graphene oxide, ultrasonically processing for 30-60 minutes, standing for 6-8 hours and drying in oven to obtain mixture B; adding mixture B into dimethylformamide solution, ultrasonically vibrating for 1-2 hours, fully peeling and dispersing to obtain suspension C; slowly adding suspension C into solution A under nitrogen atmosphere, uniformly mixing, putting into hydrothermal reaction kettle, hydrothermally reacting at 200-240 degrees C for 24-36 hours, cooling, alternately washing reaction product by deionized water and ethanol until neutral and drying in oven; and two-stage calcining in tubular furnace under nitrogen atmosphere. USE - The method is useful for preparing tungsten diselenide composite catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare tungsten selenide composite catalyst which has excellent hydrogen evolution electrocatalytic activity and stability.
