NOVELTY - The puncture resistant sole (110) comprises an insole, an outsole with a formation of cleat protrusions, and a first polymer composition. The cleat protrusion comprises a second polymer composition, and are removable. The first and second polymer compositions each comprise graphene sheets arranged in it. The graphene sheets comprise an X-ray diffraction pattern displaying no signature corresponding to graphite or graphite oxide. The insole comprises a third polymer composition comprising the graphene sheets, where the polymer compositions comprise a tensile strength of 50 lbs per square inch. USE - Puncture resistant sole for footwear article. ADVANTAGE - The footwear article has improved performance, and is manufactured in a cost effective manner.
