NOVELTY - Preparing composite material comprises (i) synthesizing graphene oxide using hummer method, then combining polypyrrole and graphene oxide by hydrogen bonds, to obtain polypyrrole/graphene oxide, preparing an intermediate A and synthesizing acrylamide/ polypyrrole/graphene oxide composite nano sheet; and (ii) uniformly mixing composite nano sheet with silver nitrate, carrying out in-situ reduction of silver on surface of composite nano sheet using sodium borohydride as a reducing agent, to obtain the final product. USE - The composite material is useful for catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst solves nano-silver agglomeration. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing composite material comprises (i) synthesizing graphene oxide using hummer method, then combining polypyrrole and graphene oxide by hydrogen bonds, to obtain polypyrrole/graphene oxide, grafting 1-chloropropene on surface of polypyrrole/graphene oxide by substitution reaction, to obtain an intermediate A, initiating acrylamide vinyl polymerization in the surface of intermediate A using acrylamide as a monomer and azodiisobutyronitrile as an initiating agent, to obtain acrylamide/ polypyrrole/graphene oxide composite nano sheet; and (ii) uniformly mixing composite nano sheet with silver nitrate, carrying out in-situ reduction of silver on surface of composite nano sheet using sodium borohydride as a reducing agent, to obtain the final product. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) use of composite material in catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol; and (2) catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol comprising adding sodium borohydride solution to aqueous 4-nitrophenol, to obtain mixture A and adding composite material to mixture A as catalyst for catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol.
