NOVELTY - Preparing modified graphene comprises using the graphene-like material under the action of the (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyloxy) (TEMPO) catalytic oxidation system, carrying out catalytic oxidation reaction until the pH of the reaction system constant or adding alcohol substance to stop reaction, washing and drying to obtain, the graphene-like material is graphene, graphene oxide, graphene biomass, preferably graphene oxide and/or graphene biomass, controlling the pH of catalytic oxidation reaction is between 2-13, preferably 3.5-6 or 9.5-11.5. USE - The method is useful for preparing modified graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method can solves the problem that the graphene surface inert and self-aggregation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for modified graphene is prepared by the above mentioned method.
