NOVELTY - Cathode composite material comprises alpha-manganese dioxide/rGO composite material, and gel layer is wrapped on the surface of the alpha-manganese dioxide/rGO composite material. The gel layer is conductive polypyrrole gel layer. The thickness of the gel layer is 50-500 nanometer. The mass ratio of the conductive polypyrrole to the alpha-manganese dioxide/rGO composite is 0.1-1:1. USE - Cathode composite material for zinc ion batteries. ADVANTAGE - The cathode composite material inhibits the dissolution of manganese, improves rate performance and cycle performance of the water-based zinc ion battery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method for preparing zinc ion battery cathode composite material, which involves performing annealing treatment after hydrothermal treatment of manganese sulfate, potassium permanganate and graphene oxide to obtain alpha-manganese dioxide/rGO composite material, mixing alpha-manganese dioxide/rGO composite material, pyrrole, protic acid, and crosslinking agent, performing in-situ polymerization reaction for 0.5-2 hours to obtain zinc-ion battery cathode composite material; and (2) a ion battery, which comprises zinc ion battery cathode composite material.
