NOVELTY - N-Benzylideneaniline based conductive carbon material dispersant (A) comprising N-benzylideneaniline based first repeating unit (1a) or (1b), and vinyl group second repeating unit (2) is new. USE - (A) is useful for dispersing conductive carbon materials including graphite, carbon nanotubes, and graphene with excellent effect. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - N-Benzylideneaniline based conductive carbon material dispersant (A) comprising N-benzylideneaniline based first repeating unit of formulae (1a) or (1b), and vinyl group second repeating unit of formula (2) is new. R1and R2= H, -OH, -NH2, -SO3M, -B(OH)2, -CN, -PO3HM, -PO3M2or -C(=O)OM; M = H, Li, Na, K or ammonium group; R3= 2-furyl, 2-oxopyrrolidin-1-yl, 2-oxoazepan-1-yl, phenyl, pyrazin-2-yl, 2-pyridyl or 2-thienyl; and n1 and n2 = integers. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparation of (A).
