NOVELTY - A conversion-type negative electrode material comprises a carbon material having a surface uniformly loaded with conversion-type active material nanoparticles having an average diameter of 10-500 nm and polydopamine coating layer, and polydopamine uniformly filled in the gaps and surfaces of the nanoparticles to form a three-dimensional structure. USE - Conversion-type negative electrode material for lithium-ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The negative electrode material contains polydopamine as a medium for ion transport and exchange, has structure that does not collapse, has improved structural stability due to use of carbon material, prevents the occurrence of bonding phenomenon, prolongs the service life of battery, and is prepared using low-cost and easily available raw materials. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the negative electrode material.
