NOVELTY - The mold (100) has a mixture of a polymeric material and a filler material. The filling material is suitable for enabling the particle foam portion to be heated within the mold by an electromagnetic field. The filler material is suitable for increasing the thermal conductivity of the mold. USE - Mold for forming particle foam portion e.g. piece of sports clothing such as shoe sole, and midsole. ADVANTAGE - The improved mold for shaping a component, in particular a particle foam portion is provided. By using a mixture of a polymer material and a filler material, the specific properties of the mold material can be significantly improved without affecting the other material properties of the mold and their stability to deteriorate during the molding process. The molding process by dielectric heating and the subsequent cooling process of the particle foam part are much faster, so productivity can be improved. The homogeneous and constant molding enables the production of a lightweight, durable particle foam part that offers different types of properties such as thermal or electrical insulation, shock absorbing and other mechanical properties. The use of a mold leads to better quality end products, and offers significant advantages for the entire molding process, such as reduced cycle times, so that the overall productivity can be increased.
