NOVELTY - Graphene-coated graft scale inhibiting core material comprises 5-10 wt.% grapheme, and 61-92 wt.% scale inhibitor. USE - The material is useful for water purification filter(claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material: is economical, increases service life, reduces slow release rate and number of replacements; and enhances scale inhibition performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing graphene-coated graft scale inhibiting core material comprising (i) mixing graphene with water and carrying out ultrasonic treatment to obtain graphene solution, (ii) immersing the scale inhibitor in the graphene solution, mixing, stirring, and filtering to obtain graphene-coated graft scale inhibitor composite particle, (iii) drying the graphene-coated graft scale inhibitor composite particles.
