NOVELTY - Polymer layer derived composition comprises polyborondimethylsiloxane and benzoyl peroxide, where the polymer layer has a transmittance of ≥ 84% in the wavelength range of 400-800 nm. USE - The polymer layer is useful in a display device (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The polymer layer exhibits strong impact resistance and optical clarity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for Preparing polymer layer, comprising reacting the composition for 1-8 hours under condition of heat and/or light; and Display device, comprising display panel, and a protective film disposed on the display panel, the protective film includes second base layer disposed on first base layer, and polymer layer disposed between the first base layer and the second base layer, where the polymer layer is derived from composition comprising polyborondimethylsiloxane and benzoyl peroxide, and the polymer layer has a transmittance of ≥ 84% in the wavelength range of 400-800 nm.
