NOVELTY - A flame-retardant phase change microcapsule comprises wall material and core material. The wall material is graphene, carbon nanotubes or phosphorene modified by a silane coupling agent. The core material is paraffin, polyether polyol or polyester polyol. USE - Flame-retardant phase change microcapsule for preparing self-adaptive temperature control flame-retardant silicone foam gasket (claimed) for power battery. ADVANTAGE - The phase change microcapsule provides self-adaptive temperature-controlled silicone foam gasket with high thermal conductivity and excellent flame retardance, heat storage/dissipation effect. The silicone foam sealing gasket controls the temperature of the battery in relatively safe environment, and can avoid spontaneous combustion and explosion caused by thermal runaway, and ensure the safety of people. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of the flame-retardant phase change microcapsule, which involves mixing 0.5-5.0 g emulsifier, 100-500 mL deionized water, and 5-15 g core material in three-necked flask, dispersing at 60-90degreesC and speed of 1000-3000 rpm to obtain core material emulsion, mixing 0.1-0.3 g wall material, 100-300 mL deionized water, 1-3 g silane coupling agent in a three-necked flask, adjusting the pH to 3-5, magnetically stirring at 40-60degreesC for 24-48 hours, centrifuging and drying to obtain silane coupling agent-modified wall material, mixing 10-100 pts. wt. core material emulsion and 1-50 pts. wt. silane coupling agent-modified wall material in a three-necked flask, adjusting the pH to 3-5, magnetically stirring at 60-90degreesC for 12-24 hours, centrifuging and drying; and (2) preparation of self-adaptive temperature control flame-retardant silicone foam gasket, which involves adding 3-30 pts. wt. vinyl-terminated silicone oil of formula (I), 10-100 pts. wt. hydroxy-terminated silicone oil of formula (II), 1-10 pts. wt. hydrogen-containing silicone oil of formula (III), and 1-30 pts. wt. flame-retardant phase-change microcapsules containing hydroxy group having structural formula of formula (IV) to plastic beaker, mixing, mechanically stirring at 30-50degreesC under vacuum condition for 0.5-5 minutes, then molding and foaming to obtain silicone compound foam gasket material with structural formula (V).
