NOVELTY - Nanocellulose-derived carbon gas gel ball, comprises carbon gas gel ball body and functional filler distributed in base body in which carbon gas gel ball body is obtained by carbonization of cellulose nanofibers, cellulose nanocrystals and/or bacterial nanocellulose gas gel at high temperature. USE - The nanocellulose-derived carbon gas gel ball is useful as 2-18GHz electromagnetic wave absorbing materials or as methyl orange adsorbents (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The nanocellulose-derived carbon gas gel ball has excellent lightness, mechanical strength, and biodegradability, and is environmentally-friendly material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing nanocellulose-derived carbon gas gel ball, comprising mixing nanocellulose dispersion liquid and functional filler dispersion uniformly to obtain mixed solution, adding mixed solution dropwise into liquid nitrogen to obtain ice balls, freeze-drying the ice-balls and sintering at high temperature under inert atmosphere to obtain final product.
