NOVELTY - Preparing stannous sulfide/graphene composite photocatalyst comprises e.g. adding graphene oxide to ethylene glycol, ultrasonicating dispersing, magnetically stirring, adding stannous chloride dihydrate to solution, then adding thiourea to above solution under magnetic stirring conditions, stirring, transferring the mixture to a polytetrafluoroethylene reactor, carrying out hydrothermal reaction, cooling the mixture, filtering and separating, washing with water and ethanol, and then drying to obtain final product. USE - The photocatalyst is useful for degradation of difficult biodegradable organic pollutants. ADVANTAGE - The photocatalyst has improved light absorption, wide range of absorption spectrum, stable performance, no toxicity and high efficiency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing stannous sulfide/graphene composite photocatalyst comprises adding 0.008-0.377 g graphene oxide to 50 ml ethylene glycol, ultrasonicating dispersing, magnetically stirring for 2 hours, adding 1.127 g stannous chloride dihydrate to solution, then adding 0.381 g thiourea to above solution under magnetic stirring conditions, stirring for 2 hours, transferring the mixture to a polytetrafluoroethylene reactor, carrying out hydrothermal reaction at 160 degrees C for 6 hours, cooling the mixture to room temperature, filtering and separating, washing for 3 times with water and ethanol, and then drying to obtain final product.
