NOVELTY - Corrosion-resistant dry film lubricant composition, comprises lubricating pigment comprising graphene platelets, where graphene platelets are oxidized and functionalized with silane; binder, where lubricating pigment is dispersed in binder; and solvent for solubilize lubricant pigment and binder; where silane functionalized up to 15 wt % oxygen of graphene platelets. USE - Corrosion-resistant dry film lubricant composition. ADVANTAGE - The method of producing a corrosion-resistant lubricant includes oxidizing exfoliated graphene to produce oxidized graphene platelets, functionalized the oxidized graphene platelets with silane to produce functionalized graphene platelets, and dispersing the functionalized graphene platelets in a lubricant composition, where the lubricant composition comprises a binder and a solvent. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method of producing a corrosion-resistant lubricant involves oxidizing exfoliated graphene to produce oxidized graphene platelets; functionalizing oxidized graphene platelets with silane to produce functionalized graphene platelets; and dispersing functionalized graphene platelets in lubricant composition, where lubricant composition comprises a binder and solvent; where functionalizing oxidized graphene platelets with silane comprises functionalizing up to 15 wt % of oxygen of oxidized graphene platelets.
