NOVELTY - A carbon nanotube modified concrete is prepared by using silica-coated carbon nanotube composite material. The silica-coated carbon nanotube composite material is prepared by (1) adding carbon nanotube powder to deionized water, placing in ultrasonic oscillator, ultrasonically dispersing, obtaining aqueous dispersion of carbon nanotubes, (2) mixing the aqueous dispersion of carbon nanotubes and silica sol solution, ultrasonically processing, stably maintaining the dispersion of carbon nanotubes, obtaining a suspension, (3) carrying out vacuum negative pressure drying treatment on the above suspension, obtaining a solid product, and (4) using a planetary ball mill to ball mill the dried solid product. USE - Carbon nanotube modified concrete. ADVANTAGE - The carbon nanotube modified concrete has high strength, and excellent corrosion resistance. The preparation method is simple, and uses carbon nanotubes with excellent dispersion stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the carbon nanotube modified concrete, which involves (i) weighing the raw materials in the concrete dry material and silica-coated carbon nanotube composite material according to the ratio, (ii) mixing concrete dry material and silica-coated carbon nanotube composite material to obtain a premix, adding river sand and water to the premix, stirring for 100-130 seconds, adding water reducing agent and stirring for 50-70 seconds, adding crushed stone and stirring for 85-105 seconds.
