NOVELTY - Preparing modified activated carbon comprises (i) mixing graphene oxide with microalgae in a solvent, and drying to obtain composite precursor, (ii) mixing the composite precursor with an activating agent to obtain mixture, and (iii) subjecting the mixture to high-temperature activation. USE - The modified activated carbon is useful for preparing lithium battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The modified activated carbon rapidly transfers lithium ions; and improves utilization rate of active substances and specific capacity and power density. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) modified activated carbon prepared by the above method; and (2) lithium battery, where the anode of the lithium battery is prepared by modified active carbon.
