USE - The catalyst is useful in metal-air battery. ADVANTAGE - The catalyst is: abundant, low-cost and environmentally-friendly; and synthesized by an industrially scalable method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for metal-air battery (10) comprising a metal electrode (11), an air electrode (13) and an electrolyte (12) disposed between the metal electrode and the air electrode, where the air electrode comprises a catalyst (14).
