NOVELTY - The vehicle assembly has a main portion that is provided with a bumper assembly (14), an underrun protection (18), and a capacitive sensor system of the underrun protection. The capacitive sensor system is provided with a material permeated with graphene. The capacitive sensor system contains 10 to 25 percent by weight of graphene. A cladding is configured to cover the graphene-permeated material. The cladding is colored and non-conductive. The capacitive sensor system is provided with a conductive coating adjacent a base substrate. USE - Vehicle assembly. ADVANTAGE - The underrun protection can protect the substructure of the vehicle.
