NOVELTY - Activated carbon composite filter rod comprises 30-50 wt.% activated carbon powder, 5-10 wt.% zeolite, 5-10 wt.% porous carbon nano-material, 5-10 wt.% graphene oxide, 5-15 wt.% pore forming agent, 30-50 wt.% polymer binder and 0-10 wt.% antimicrobial polymer. The polymer binder comprises high molecular weight polyethylene and low temperature polyethylene in weight ratio of 7:3-5:5. USE - Activated carbon composite filter rod used in sewage treatment. ADVANTAGE - The activated carbon composite filter rod is cost-effective, durable, and has high strength and wide range of applications. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing activated carbon composite filter rod, which involves: (A) mixing raw materials at a speed of 400-800 revolutions per minute for 10-30 minutes; (B) molding the obtained premix; (C) forming the carbon rods; (D) heating mold to 250-280 degrees C for 30-60 minutes; (E) releasing carbon rods from mold and cooling carbon rods; and (F) cooling carbon rods to 0-5 degrees C for 5-10 minutes.
