▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - The photon detector has a graphene sheet (120), a waveguide (110) adjacent the graphene sheet and guides infrared electromagnetic waves in a mode having an evanescent field coupled to the graphene sheet, and a Josephson junction (130) on the graphene sheet, and having a gap coupled to electrons of the graphene sheet. A bias circuit (138) is connected to two contacts of the Josephson junction and detects a decrease in a critical current of the Josephson junction, in which decrease corresponds to increase in temperature of the graphene sheet. USE - Graphene-based single photon detector. ADVANTAGE - Increases the temperature of the graphene sheet results in a decrease in the critical current of the Josephson junction and a voltage pulse in the voltage across the Josephson junction. Avoids the light to escape from the back end of the waveguide since thermal activation and the macroscopic quantum tunneling of the phase particle of the Josephson junction are exponentially suppressed and negligibly small when the bias current and temperature are small and low enough, respectively.
