NOVELTY - A graphene aerogel-supported two-phase transition metal sulfide material comprises three-dimensional graphene aerogel (3DGA) as a carrier, and sulfide compound loaded on the 3DGA, where the sulfide compound is nickel-cobalt-sulfide and nickel-sulfur two-phase complexes. USE - Graphene aerogel-supported two-phase transition metal sulfide material for use as cathode material of lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene aerogel-supported two-phase transition metal sulfide material has high purity, and improves electrochemical performance, reversible capacity and stable cycle performance of the cathode material of lithium ion battery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A graphene aerogel-supported two-phase transition metal sulfide material comprises three-dimensional graphene aerogel (3DGA) as a carrier, and sulfide compound loaded on the 3DGA, where the sulfide compound is nickel-cobalt-sulfide (NixCo3-XS4) and nickel-sulfur (Ni0.96S) two-phase complexes, where x is 1-3. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a method for preparing a graphene aerogel-supported two-phase transition metal sulfide material (2) a lithium ion battery cathode material.
