▎ 摘　　要

NOVELTY - Cathode active material, comprises core material and polymer modified coating layer covering at least a part of the outer surface of the core material. The core material includes silicon-based materials and tin-based materials; coating layer contains carbon element and nitrogen element, the mass ratio of nitrogen element in cathode active material is 0.1-0.66%, and coating layer includes a -C=N- bond. USE - The cathode active material is useful in secondary battery, battery module, battery pack and device (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The cathode active material secures both long-cycle performance and high energy density. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing cathode active material. The method utilizes polymer, solvent, and first slurry.
