▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Synthesis of reduced graphene oxide using Swertia chirayita extract. USE - The method is useful for synthesis of reduced graphene oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method is: eco-friendly and replaces hazardous chemicals, viz., hydrazine hydrate and sodium borohydride; is a simple and low-cost method for the mass production of reduced graphene oxide. The Fourier transform infrared and X-ray diffraction analysis showed the successful removal of oxygen moieties from graphene oxide. The Raman analysis showed that the as-synthesized reduced graphene oxide possessed lesser defects and more sp carbons. The analysis of the product obtained using various characterization techniques showed that chirayita extract is an effective reducing agent for the synthesis of reduced graphene oxide.
