▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - The polarizer has an input straight waveguide and an output straight waveguide that are orderly provided with a silicon wafer substrate (21). A polymer lower cladding (32) is prepared on the silicon wafer substrate. An optical waveguide core layer (33) of a rectangular structure is prepared on the polymer lower cladding. A graphene/polymer mixed waveguide is provided with a single-layer graphene film in the optical waveguide core layer. A polymer upper cladding (35) is prepared on two sides of the optical waveguide core layer. USE - Graphene/polymer hybrid waveguide structure polarizer for polymer plane optical waveguide device. ADVANTAGE - The polarizer realizes simple organic polymer material processing technique, places single-layer graphene film in the middle of the optical waveguide core layer to improve interaction of the optical field and the graphene film in the waveguide, so as to filter the one polarized light according to the absorption characteristic of the graphene material to different polarized light. The polarizer needs some common semiconductor device and conventional manufacturing process, without need of complex expensive process device and preparation technology of high difficulty, and realizes mass production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a Graphene/polymer hybrid waveguide structure polarizer manufacturing method.
