NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide/chitosan composite porous microsphere, comprises (i) uniformly dispersing chitosan and graphene oxide in acetic acid solution, to obtain graphene oxide/chitosan solution; and (ii) adding graphene oxide/chitosan solution dropwise into sodium hydroxide solution and curing agent into microsphere, washing using deionized water to neutral, and freezing and drying microsphere, to obtain the product. USE - The composite porous microsphere is useful in anionic dyes, preferably congo red, acid red, acid orange, reactive orange, reactive blue, acid blue or acid fuchsin wastewater treatment (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite porous microsphere has controllable size, morphology, uniformity, improved strength, and can absorb anionic dyes during wastewater treatment. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) graphene oxide/chitosan composite porous microsphere, prepared as mentioned above; (2) use of composite porous microsphere in anionic dyes wastewater treatment; and (3) use method of composite porous microsphere, comprising adding 2-10 mg/ml composite porous microsphere into wastewater anionic dye of concentration 300-1800 mg/ml having pH of 2-7, where the water temperature is 30-50 degrees C.
