NOVELTY - Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst composition comprises a SCR catalyst and binder comprising porous inorganic material, where the porous inorganic material comprises disordered arrangement of delaminated layers, has disordered porous structure, and has multimodal pore size distribution comprising at least first modal maximum having macroporous or mesoporous pore size and second modal maximum having microporous pore size. USE - The catalyst is useful for emission treatment system for treating flow of combustion exhaust gas (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst composition: has improved catalytic activity per unit volume to require larger volumes of catalyst composition to provide desired catalytic effect or higher quantities of expensive catalytically active components; eliminates undesirable components, which does not generate other noxious or toxic substances; has less catalytic activity for poisons information centers, increased poison resistance and increased reaction rates, disordered porous structure, multimodal pore size distribution, low cost, lower surface area, meso-/macro-porosity; and exhibits increased catalytic activity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for emission treatment system for treating flow of combustion exhaust gas, comprising a source of combustion exhaust gas in fluid communication with SCR catalyst composition, and source of nitrogenous reductant arranged upstream of the SCR catalyst composition.
