NOVELTY - Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) modified material comprises 40-50 pts. wt. styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS), 10-20 pts. wt. recycled old tire rubber particles,10-20 pts wt polyolefin elastomer(POE), 5-10 pts. wt. metallocene polyethylene, 1-5 pts. wt. compatibilizer, 0.5-2 pts. wt. triethoxyvinylsilane, 1-5 pts. wt. calcium carbonate, and 1-5 pts. wt. graphene oxide, where the recycled old tire rubber particles are obtained through surface modification. USE - Used as thermoplastic elastomer modified material. ADVANTAGE - The modified material has low cost, high abrasion resistance and excellent mechanical property. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) modified material comprising (1) adding 10-20 pts. wt. recycled old tire rubber particles to 50-80 pts. wt. water, adding 1-5 pts. wt. potassium hydroxide, stirring and heating to 80-90°C, adding 0.5-1 pts. wt. lauric acid and 0.5-1 pts. wt. glyceryl monostearate, keep stirring for 2-5 hours, cooling, washing, and drying, (2) adding 0.5-2 pts. wt. triethoxyvinylsilane, 1-5 pts. wt. calcium carbonate, grinding 1-5 pts. wt. graphene oxide to 10-20 pts. wt. dried recovered old tire rubber particles into powder, (3) adding 40-50 pts. wt. styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS), 10-20 pts wt polyolefin elastomer(POE), 5-10 pts. wt. metallocene polyethylene, 1-5 pts. wt. compatibilizer into a twin-screw extruder for melt extrusion to obtain a thermoplastic elastomer modified material.
