NOVELTY - The light modulator has a light waveguide provided with a substrate (1), and dielectric medium filling layers (21, 22). Two sides of the light waveguide are provided with a rectangular waveguides (31, 32). Insulating medium layers (41, 42, and 43), graphenes (51, 52) and rectangular waveguides are connected with one of the insulating medium layer. One of graphenes is connected with one of the dielectric medium cover filling layers. An electrode is connected with a metal layers (61, 62). An upper end of the metal layers is connected with the graphenes. USE - Planar waveguide based on graphene phase type light modulator. ADVANTAGE - The light modulator reduces resistance of a system, improves modulation speed and adjustor and achieves dynamic modulation of optical field phase.
