NOVELTY - Assembly (100) has a structure (110) comprising a layer of a first material (112) positioned in contact with a layer of a second material (114) to form an interface (116) between the first material and the second material, where each of the first material and the second material is selected such that a time-reversal symmetry breaking field associated with the interface is stabilized, and a control apparatus (120) associated with the structure configured to control a ferromagnetic state associated with the interface. USE - The assembly is used as a superconducting diode assembly (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The assembly uses a stabilized time-reversal symmetry breaking field, thus providing specific function. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: a method for fabricating the assembly; and a superconducting diode assembly.
