NOVELTY - Energy storage bank comprises integrated energy storage devices comprising supercapacitors, batteries and metal shells. Each of the devices comprises a super capacitor, a battery (230) surrounding the super capacitor such that the battery forms a shell around an exterior surface of the super-capacitor, and a metal shell surrounding the battery. The battery includes an anode, a cathode, and an electrolyte disposed between the anode and the cathode. The super capacitor includes another anode, another cathode, and a separator between the latter anode. USE - Energy storage bank for use in an energy pack for a vehicle i.e. electric powered vehicle. ADVANTAGE - The energy bank provides increased power, improved durability and a lower cost relative to current power batteries and power battery packs by combining the instant energy provided by supercapacitors with the long-term use benefits of a battery. The integrated energy storage devices can desirably be used together in an energy pack to power E-powered vehicles or other hybrid vehicles by providing approximately five times the power of current power cells with a cost that is one and a half times lower than current power cell batteries.
