NOVELTY - Generating graphene film on surface of substrate comprises e.g. dissolving carbon in liquid metal, saturating, liquid metal is inert to carbon to obtain carbide, attaching graphene sheets on surface of substrate, separating graphene sheets, substrate is inert to both liquid metal and carbon, attachment surface of substrate faces downward, dipping substrate into liquid metal, reducing temperature of liquid metal, precipitating carbon and floating, floating carbon provides a source of carbon for growth of graphene and then growing graphene between adjacent graphene sheets by floating carbon. USE - The method is useful for generating graphene film on surface of substrate (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method has low cost, reduces defect of substrate surface graphene, improves quality of graphene film, and is suitable for large scale industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Generating graphene film on surface of substrate comprises (i) dissolving carbon in liquid metal, saturating, liquid metal is inert to carbon to obtain carbide, (ii) attaching graphene sheets on surface of substrate, separating graphene sheets, substrate is inert to both liquid metal and carbon, (iii) attachment surface of substrate faces downward, dipping substrate into liquid metal, (iv) reducing temperature of liquid metal, precipitating carbon and floating, floating carbon provides a source of carbon for growth of graphene, and (v) growing graphene between adjacent graphene sheets by floating carbon, splicing graphene sheets to obtain graphene film and then carrying out steps (i)-(v) under inert atmosphere.
