NOVELTY - 1-3 Pts. wt. folic acid powder is added to 0.04 g/ml solvent solution, and 0.5-2 pts. wt. polypeptide as condensing agent and 0.1-1 pt. wt. basic catalyst are added and completely dissolved by stirring at room temperature. Then, aminated magnetic graphene oxide powder is added to the obtained solution, stirred at room temperature for 24 hours at 300 rpm and washed using water and ethanol, freeze-dried, and milled to obtain folate-modified magnetic graphene oxide adsorbent. USE - Preparation of folate modified magnetic graphene oxide sorbent used for adsorbing heavy metal ions e.g. copper ion, mercury ion, cadmium ion and lead ion (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method efficiently provides folate modified magnetic graphene oxide sorbent having high adsorption capacity, without affecting the environment. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - 1-2 Pts. wt. ferric chloride hexahydrate is mixed with 0.05 g/ml ethylene glycol solution, and 0.05-0.2 pt. wt. graphene oxide powder is added and stirred to obtain homogeneous mixture. To the obtained mixture, 1-10 pts. wt. aqueous ammonia is dripped and 0.05-0.3 pt. wt. polyvinylpyrrolidone is further added. The resultant mixture is placed in polytetrafluoroethylene liner reactor, heated at 160-190 degrees C for 15-24 hours, and the product is cooled to room temperature. The obtained material is washed alternately using water and ethanol, freeze-dried and ground to obtain magnetic graphene oxide material. 1 Pt. wt. silane coupling agent, 2.5-10 pts. wt. absolute ethanol and 5-20 pts. wt. water are added to a three-necked flask, and the pH is adjusted to 4-5 using glacial acetic acid. The resultant mixture is stirred at room temperature for 2 hours at 300 rpm, and 1.5-3 pts. wt. graphene oxide magnetic material is added and stirred at room temperature for 4 hours at the speed of 300 rpm. After completion of amino modification of magnetic graphene oxide adsorption material, the material is washed using ethanol, lyophilized and ground to obtain aminated magnetic graphene oxide powder. 1-3 Pts. wt. folic acid powder is added to 0.04 g/ml solvent solution, and 0.5-2 pts. wt. polypeptide as condensing agent and 0.1-1 pt. wt. basic catalyst are added and completely dissolved by stirring at room temperature.
