NOVELTY - Preparing photocatalyst comprises taking benzene amino-functionalized graphene and ruthenium complex azide (N3) dye for carrying out amide condensation reaction in a solvent and condensing agent to obtain light catalyst. USE - The photocatalyst is useful for preparing hydrogen (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The photocatalyst has high activity and good stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for (1) photocatalyst prepared by the above mentioned method; (2) photocatalytic water decomposing hydrogen production catalyst, comprising photocatalyst and noble metal nanoparticles, where the photocatalyst is loaded with noble metal nanoparticles; (3) preparing the photocatalytic water decomposing hydrogen production catalyst, comprising taking noble metal source and photocatalyst under illumination condition, placing in the solvent and triethanolamine, and reacting to obtain the catalyst; and (4) preparation of hydrogen, comprising taking noble metal source and photocatalyst or photocatalytic water decomposing hydrogen production catalyst under illumination condition, placing in the solvent and triethanolamine, and reacting to obtain hydrogen.
