NOVELTY - Bacteriostatic expanded polystyrene (EPS) plastic foam comprises 180-220 pts. wt. polystyrene resin particles, 35-45 pts. wt. modified antibacterial agent, 2-6 pts. wt. foaming agent, 3-8 pts. wt. surfactant, 1.8-2.2 pts. wt. coupling agent, 18-22 pts. wt. plasticizer and 18-22 pts. wt. deionized water. USE - The bacteriostatic expanded polystyrene plastic foam is useful for forming closed cell structure, and also used as flame retardant material and thermal insulating material. ADVANTAGE - The modified antibacterial agent reduces attachment of EPS plastic foam to mold during storage, achieves antibacterial effect, and solves problem that the plastic foam is easy to be eroded by bacteria or fungi in the storage process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing bacteriostatic EPS plastic foam, comprising (S10) grinding the polystyrene resin particles to obtain polystyrene resin powder, (S20) preparing modified antibacterial agent, (S21) preparing modified antibacterial solution, grinding the loaded silver titanium dioxide, and drying to obtain dry abrasives, and dispersing the dry abrasives in part of ethanol, obtaining the supported silver titanium dioxide ethanol dispersion solution, dissolving vinyl triethoxysilane in the remaining ethanol to obtain vinyl triethoxysilane ethanol solution, silver-loaded titanium dioxide ethanol dispersion solution in water bath, dropping adding vinyltriethoxysilane ethanol solution under stirring conditions to obtain antibacterial solution, (S22) adding the enhancement agent into the antibacterial solution, and fully stirring to obtain modified antibacterial agent, (S30) evenly mixing the polystyrene resin powder with the modified antibacterial agent, adding nano-graphene, foaming agent, surfactant, coupling agent, plasticizer and deionized water, injecting into preheated mold, and foaming to obtain molded plastic foam, and (S40) drying the plastic foam together with the mold, cooling in natural state for 24 hours, and releasing the plastic foam from the mold.
