▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Manufacture of graphene quantum dots (GQDs), involves combining a graphene source with a strong oxidizing mixture to form a combination, and heating the combination to an elevated temperature with respect to room temperature. The graphene source comprises graphite and/or carbon black. The GQDs have an average diameter of 2.0-10.0 nm. USE - Manufacture of graphene quantum dots used in optics, electronics, and biomedical applications e.g. bio-imaging, biosensor materials, and drug delivery. ADVANTAGE - The method produces GQDs that possess excellent solubility in water, cell culture medium, and many organic solvents. The GQDs possess low cytotoxicity and high biocompatibility.
