NOVELTY - Graphite oxide is ultrasonically dispersed in a tantalum pentoxide precursor solution. After hydrothermal reaction, centrifugal filtration and drying are carried out to obtain a rod-shaped tantalum pentoxide nanocrystalline/graphene compound photocatalyst. USE - Preparation of rod-shaped tantalum pentoxide nanocrystalline/graphene compound photocatalyst (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method, when compared with existing method, controls tantalum pentoxide to grow on graphene in the form of rod. Oriented tantalum pentoxide is more beneficial for separation of photoelectron hole by controlling the shape of tantalum pentoxide, such that the catalytic performance of photocatalyst is greatly improved.
