NOVELTY - Slickwater fracturing fluid comprises a brine comprising dissolved solid, an anionic friction reducing additive, a polysaccharide, and a nanomaterial comprising nanoparticles with an average particle size of 1-500 nanometer. The slickwater fracturing fluid comprises the nanomaterial in an amount of 0.1-20 ppt. The nanomaterial is silica, graphene, aluminum, iron, zirconium, titanium, silicon, zirconium oxide, titanium oxide, silicon oxide, hydroxides, and its combination. The anionic friction reducing additive is an anionic polyacrylamide friction reducing additive. USE - Slickwater fracturing fluid. ADVANTAGE - The slickwater fracturing fluid can tolerate high concentrations of total dissolved solids while maintaining viscosity and friction reduction performance properties, reduce friction of the slickwater fracturing fluid so as to increase an injection rate of the slickwater fracturing fluid compared to an identical slickwater fracturing fluid by polysaccharide and the anionic friction reducing additive, and increase proppant transport capability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Slickwater fracturing fluid comprises a brine comprising dissolved solid, an anionic friction reducing additive, a polysaccharide, and a nanomaterial comprising nanoparticles with an average particle size of 1-500 nanometer. The polysaccharide and the anionic friction reducing additive synergistically reduce friction of the slickwater fracturing fluid up to about 70%, as measured by a friction loop with a 0.5 inch-diameter smooth pipe, at a fluid injection rate of 10 gpm, at room temperature (about 22℃), with two pressure gauges located 2 ft apart measuring friction pressure about once per second so as to increase an injection rate of the slickwater fracturing fluid. The polysaccharide, the anionic friction reducing additive, and the nanomaterial synergistically provide viscosity to the slickwater fracturing fluid of about 42 centipoise or less, as measured with specific American Petroleum Institute Recommended Practice 13B-2 so as to increase proppant transport capability.
