NOVELTY - A ski wax composition comprises 0.05-1 wt.%, 0.1-1 wt.%, 0.1-0.8 wt.%, 0.1-0.5 wt.%, 0.2-1 wt.%, 0.2-0.8 wt.%, 0.2-0.5 wt.%, 0.25-5 wt.%, 0.25-0.8 wt.%, 0.25-0.5 wt.%, 0.3-1 wt.%, 0.3-0.8 wt.% or 0.3-0.5 wt.% graphene, and 5-40 wt.%, preferably 5-20 wt.% additive selected from rosins, natural rubber and synthetic rubbers, in a wax matrix. USE - Ski wax composition is used as klister wax for coating on kick zone of skis and ski soles to provide grip for cross country skiing. ADVANTAGE - The composition provides skis with excellent griping properties and gliding properties due to the use of graphene. The composition has excellent application property, icing properties, wear resistance, and grip/kick properties when compared with composition free of graphene. The uptake of dirt and particles from the snow is reduced. The composition has excellent strength and elasticity due to the use of additive. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of composition, which involves co-melting the wax matrix components, heating the melt to 120-150 degrees C, optionally adding a fluorinated wax and/or a dry lubricant and stirring, adding graphene in portions and stirring vigorously, and cooling the composition.
